Police have made an arrest after investigating two December incidents of St. Catharines girls being approached by a man in a red pickup truck.

The two separate cases were reported in mid-December to Niagara Regional Police, both involving young girls aged 13 and 14 walking in the north end of the city.

Police said Friday a person of interest was identified through the investigation and with the assistance of members of the public. Police said officers observed the individual as he attempted to follow unsuspecting adult women through the city.

On Friday, police arrested a man on Lake Street without incident.

Chantz Lee Reeds, 18, of St. Catharines, was arrested and charged with criminal harassment.
