The Pen Centre wants shoppers to buy-in to waste reduction.

The shopping centre is hosting its annual Waste Reduction Weekend this Saturday and Sunday to remind residents of the environmental impact of their everyday actions.

During the event, held in celebration of Waste Reduction Week in Ontario, unwanted electronics, old prescription drugs and glasses can be dropped off at the mall’s north-east parking lot, at Chestnut Street and Highway 406, for safe recycling or proper disposal.

Gently used clothing will also be collected through Clothes for Common Good in support of Cerebral Palsy.
