Santa Claus is coming to town.
The 22nd annual Thorold Santa Claus parade is taking place this Saturday, Nov. 24, beginning at 4 p.m.
The parade will start at Monsignor Clancy School on Nottingham St., before turning on to Tupper Dr. It will proceed down Sullivan Ave. and into the downtown core, concluding on Front St. late in the afternoon.
Founded in 1991 by volunteers, the Thorold Santa Claus Parade has since proven to be a popular event for the citizens of Thorold and surrounding areas with its display of bands, floats, marching units and, of course, Jolly St. Nick himself. All are welcome to come and enjoy the parade.
THINGS TO REMEMBER:
- Dress warm.
- There will be a mitten and food drive during the parade. Donations will be collected throughout.
- Kids, don't forget your letters to Santa. Some of his helpers will gladly be collecting them.
- Stop by the Thorold Fire Hall on Townpath Rd. after the parade to meet Santa in person.
